Hello Friends!
I haven’t forgotten about you, but I’ve been creating a show for Edinburgh Fringe Festival that has taken all my creative energy of late. My writing partner
and I have been writing, shaping, rewriting, rehearsing, recording music, working on marketing materials, website, ticketing, all the things. We’re going all out now, but I will be back with more essays in the near future. For now, here’s a blurb on our show:The Wildflowers’ debut show, Forget-Me-Not, is a true story of motherhood, friendship, lost love, and hauntings—woven with original music and heart-exploding harmonies. Performed by Orange is the New Black’s Julie Lake and songwriter Annie Macleod, it follows two estranged childhood best friends who reconnect in midlife, both mothers yearning for more—creative freedom, adventure, sexual liberation, and a deeper sense of self beyond traditional roles. Through storytelling and song, they rediscover the power of their bond, unlocking the healing and freedom they’ve been seeking all along. A moving, magical journey of creativity, resilience, and the transformative power of female friendship.
…. So much more of this to come!

This sounds amazing.
I’ve been missing your contributions but knew you were planning some kind of performance. I never expected it to be this big. It sounds like just what everyone needs right now. Watching how to reconnect and flourish!
